Helen has near 30 years of working experience in the finance sector. She was the Managing Director Head of Greater China Institutional business, a SFC RO & Manager-In-Charge, a spokesperson and a member of the board of directors at the Ninety One Hong Kong Limited (previously Investec Asset Management Hong Kong) for 11 years till the end of July 2021. Before Ninety One, she was the Senior Vice President & Head of North Asia Business Development at the Neuberger Berman Hong Kong and the Lehman Brothers Asset Management Asia for over three years. Her primary responsibilities included institutional business growth across traditional and alternative asset classes, firm profile building and senior management oversight. Before asset management, Helen started off at the Summer Internship and Management Associate programs, was a corporate and institutional banker with management roles at global banks including Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Standard Chartered Bank.

Having keen interests at giving back to the community, Helen was being recognised by the Hong Kong Outstanding Tertiary Students Award in 1993 and was a founder member of such association back in 1994 with the key objectives to promote and continue voluntary works further. Helen has also supported for many years the professional industry associations like the HK Retirement Scheme Association, the HK Securities & Investment Institute (HKSI), the HK Institute of Directors, the Asset Management Association of China, the China Insurance Asset Management Association and the Taiwan Pension Fund Association. Helen currently serves on HKSI Examinations Committee and Mentorship Program (previously the Education & Development Committee and the Corporate Membership Committee). Helen also serves as the Advisory Board Chairperson of the PolyU Accounting & Finance Department Financial Services Degree program, a School Manager of an Anglican primary school for over 10 years, a member of Investment Committee of an Anglican Secondary school endowment, a council member of an Anglican church and a Treasurer at the Hong Kong Y.Elites Finance Research Group.

Helen is pursuing a part-time Doctorate Degree in Business Administration at the PolyU. She holds BA (Hons) in Business Studies at the PolyU, a Master of Science in Financial Management at the University of London SOAS. She continued her studies earlier under the executive leadership programs respectively at the Chinese Academy of Governance PRC (Beijing), the Chinese University of Hong Kong IGEF, the Harvard Business School Executive Education (Boston) and the IMD Business School.
